ABOUT ME

At first glance, the morbid murals on Katherine's arms might be off-putting.  But once this little ball of energy speaks, there's an unavoidable charm that even the most skeptic cynic can't escape.  Katherine's attitude and art is a testament to her passion behind that hard edge exterior.

Katherine grew up in a conservative family, but the life of a freelance makeup artist is anything but safe.  "I remember being in LA at 18 and it felt like a dream come true.  The big city, the grind, everything!"  Studying Beauty Merchandise and Marketing at F.I.D.M. in Los Angeles, Katherine networked her way on set for her first filming.  Working in collaboration for Dark Equinox Production Company, Katherine took on the role as Lead Makeup Artist Assistant for the series Knights of October.  This experience only fueled Katherine's drive to shift into a higher gear, leading her to attend Cosmix Makeup Artistry School in Florida.

In 2010 Katherine's career focused on Multi-Media and Fashion Makeup.  "My instructors were all from the industry and I couldn't ask for a better match."  Shortly after, Katherine landed a job as a Product Consultant at Sephora inside J.C. Penney, helping hundreds of customers find the correct shade and style to best fit them.  A quick promotion later, Katherine was Operations Consultant, overseeing every aspect of her store.  Not bad for someone who's just 23.

But despite all the success she's acquired under the corporate umbrella, Katherine remains driven to stay true to the client-artist relationship.  Branching out on her own as an independent Makeup Artist might be scary for most, but as you've read Katherine is anything but timid.  "I signed up for it, learned a lot, and now I'm ready to do it on my own.  It's that simple."
